BOISE'S BENCH

The Bench is a central location of the Boise area, and is one of Ada County's long established residential areas. The Bench allows easy access to almost anywhere. Conveniently located near Interstate 84, the Bench provides quick access to Boise Air Terminal and to three of Boise's city parks - Ann Morrison, Julia Davis, and Kathryn Albertson. This section of town has older style homes that have character and charm. Many of the homes here have arched doorways, basements, and detached garages.

SOUTHEAST BOISE

The southeast area is bounded by the Boise River to the north, Broadway Avenue to the west, I-84 to the south, and extends to the east in undeveloped foothills. Because of its close proximity to the Boise River, parks, and greenbelt (a path along the Boise River for bikers, roller skaters, joggers ect.), the southeast area provides an outdoor recreational paradise. This area is mixed with long established neighborhoods as well as beautiful new housing developments. Residents of this area are conveniently located near Micron, Albertson's, Ore Ida, Boise State University and many other large employers.

NORTHEAST BOISE

The Boise River is south, Broadway Avenue to the west, Highway 21 on the east, and extends north into the foothills. Because of its natural amenities, the Northeast or East area provides a varied mixture of housing choices from river settings to gorgeous views of Downtown Boise. Easy access to numerous parks, beaches, golf courses, and Boise River/Greenbelt create many recreational opportunities. This area is conveniently located near St. Lukes Medical Center, Downtown Boise, and Lucky Peak Reservoir

BOISE'S NORTH END

Bounded by the Boise River to the south, 28th street on the west and Broadway Avenue on the east, the Historic North End extends north into the foothills and is home to some of Boise's oldest and finest residences. Portions of the North End are listed on the National Register of Historic Places Much of the North End is within walking distance to the downtown area. Some of Boise's most beautiful views are found in this area, most commonly known as the Highlands. Nestled against the foothills, a vast expanse of open space, this area offers the opportunity to view outdoor Idaho in its natural setting.

NORTHWEST BOISE

The Boise River is to the south, Gary Lane on the west, and 28th Street on the east, extending north into the foothills. The Northwest area is becoming a hot spot for new developments, so there are many new homes here. This area offers a variety of housing choices from river settings to mountain views. Parks, a sportsplex, and the Boise River/Greenbelt offer great recreational activities. This area is close to downtown via State Street and easy access to North Idaho via Highway 55.

WEST BOISE

Bounded by Chinden Boulevard to the north, Cloverdale Road to the west, Curtis Road to the east, and I-84 on the south. West Boise is one of the most active residential sales areas in Ada County, offering a wide range of housing choices. Many neighborhoods offer home sites on larger-than- average lots. The West area is conveniently located to Hewelett-Packard, St. Al's Hospital, and several other large employers. The Boise Town Square Mall is a major attraction with easy access to the Westside residents, as is the interstate which means residents can be heading east or west quickly.

SOUTHWEST BOISE

Located south of I-84, Curtis Rd on the east and Eagle Road on the west, this area offers residents some of the largest lots available, definitely one of our more rural areas. Because of its proximity to the airport, I-84 and Canyon County, this area is attractive to those who want to commute a short distance to work and come home to a residential area that seems much farther away from the hustle bustle of the city than it actually is.

MERIDIAN

Lake Hazel Road is to the south, the Ada Canyon County line is on the west, Eagle Road on the east and Highway 20-26 to the north. Meridian is the fastest growing area in the state of Idaho. Despite it's tremendous growth, Meridian continues its small-town style of living with many of the amenities of a big city. Although Meridian seems far away it has easy access to the airport, hospitals and museums, as well as corporate headquarters and governmental offices. This is a very popular area for young families who are able to get more house for their money.

EAGLE / STAR

Bounded by Chinden Boulevard to the south, Highway 55 on the east, the Ada/Canyon County line on the west, the Eagle/Star area extends north into the Eagle foothills. Because of it's natural amenities and rural settings, housing options range from river settings and mountain views, to golf course lots, or ranch estates. Although this is one of the faster growing areas of Ada County, Eagle/Star has managed to maintain its rural environment.
